Richards is Emeritus Fellow of St Cross College, Oxford, and University Lecturer in Arabic (retired). He is the joint author of Mamluk Jerusalem (1987), translator of Ibn Shaddad's Life of Saladin (2001) and The Annals of the Turks (RoutledgeCurzon, 2002) and author of articles on mediaeval Islamic history for various scholarly journals.

This is a classic story, one that should be on the reading list of every undergraduate Literature class. It is a good book.. (Yes, really!)So moving on to the recipes themselves I really found some fantastic ideas and food in this book. He was deeply interested in cultural matters, his reflections on them often profound and original. Once touched by Nature's Love, her heart longs to give back so much of what it has experienced. The book is well organized and the activities are well thought out. Ever Darkening is just that, an extremely dark and twisted fantasy adventure.
